Lily Omorefe has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health and wellness. Lily started their career in 2011 as a Community Mental Health coordinator at the Department of Community and Social Services, where they served for 7 years. In 2018, they joined Halifax Regional Centre for Education as a youth mental health & addictions facilitator, and worked there until 2019. In the same year, Lily joined Dalhousie University, where they currently serve as a Program Manager in the Health and Wellness Department. Additionally, they have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in the School of Health and Human Performance at Dalhousie University since 2019. Lily's experience includes empowering students, creating inclusive learning spaces, and coordinating community mental health initiatives.

Lily Omorefe holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Health Promotion from Dalhousie University, which they completed from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (Education) degree in Community Health from the University of Benin, where they studied from 2015 to 2017. Lily also holds a Bachelor of Science (Education) degree in Health Education from the University of Benin, which they completed from 2006 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Lily has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Lily holds a Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate from CertiProf, a Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) credential from the International Scrum Institute™, and a Pivot to Product certification from Sometimes Sensible LLC, all obtained in July 2022. Lily also holds a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business, obtained in April 2022.

Other certifications in their possession include Change Management: Roadmap to Planning, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and Project Management: Healthcare Projects, all obtained from LinkedIn in January 2022. Lily has also received certifications in Psychological First Aid from Alberta Health Services in December 2021, together with diverse training certifications related to emergency preparedness, trauma-informed care, mental health first aid, and research ethics.

Furthermore, Lily possesses a Nova Scotia Teaching License (Health Major) Permanent from the Nova Scotia Education and Early Childhood Development, obtained in August 2018.
