Linda Melis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Linda began their career at Petro Canada in 1982, where they held various roles in accounts payable, general ledger, financial reporting, and financial system support. In 2000, they joined Unda Enterprises Inc. as a business analyst, focusing on SAP finance implementation for ConocoPhillips Canada. Linda later worked as an independent consultant, providing expertise in SAP finance and data interfaces.
In 2004, Linda transitioned to ConocoPhillips, where they served as an advisor for SAP exploitation before taking on the role of project manager for the PRA system conversion. Linda successfully managed the conversion of critical production accounting functions to Qbyte PRISM, overseeing system configuration, software development, and vendor selection processes. Additionally, Linda delivered small to medium-sized projects as a business analyst, contributing to cost reduction and improved data visibility.
Starting in 2012, Linda held multiple roles at ConocoPhillips Canada, including production data manager and IT project manager. As a production data manager, they established relationships with senior leaders and business line managers to foster a data management culture and delivered an information management strategy and data quality framework. In their role as an IT project manager, Linda led a globally distributed team to implement a digital oil field information delivery platform, utilizing agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
From 2015 to 2017, Linda worked independently, specializing in data and project management. Linda then joined Shaw Communications as a technical business analyst, focusing on data management and integration across departments and business units. In 2019, they transitioned to SoulCycle Inc. as a scrum master and business analyst before joining Xerris Inc. in 2020 as a scrum master.
Linda Melis completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2003. In addition, they obtained a certification in Agile Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in March 2014.
