Marcie Jones

Marcie Jones has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the digital technology industry. Marcie currently serves as the Chief Digital Officer at Xerris, an Accolite Digital Company, where they have been since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Member of the Board of Advisors at the same company from August 2020.

Before joining Xerris, Marcie held the position of SVP Canada Delivery & Global Cloud at Accolite Digital starting from October 2022. As the SVP, they were responsible for the talent and growth of the company's cloud business, utilizing modern cloud-first technologies to solve customer challenges.

From July 2020 to October 2022, Marcie worked at TC Energy as the Director of Product Delivery. In this role, they focused on creating a product-driven information systems organization and implementing automation, data, and modern technology solutions to address business challenges and optimize digital value.

Marcie gained significant experience during their tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from October 2018 to July 2020 as a Customer Solution Manager, Western Canada. In this role, they facilitated the accelerated adoption of cloud technologies for enterprise customers, collaborating with executives to drive enterprise-wide transformation programs and unlock business value.

Prior to AWS, Marcie worked as the Director of Digital Technologies at Shaw Communications from November 2015 to August 2018. In this role, they led a departmental team responsible for building and managing Shaw's customer-facing digital ecosystem, driving strategic direction, launching new products, and overseeing daily operations. Before this, they served in various managerial roles within Shaw, including Manager of Planning and Manager of the Project Management Office, contributing to the development and implementation of effective project management practices and portfolio management processes.

Marcie's career began in 2001 at Media Logic, where they served as a Manager. Marcie later joined Critical Mass as a Program Director from June 2004 to February 2012, gaining valuable experience in program management.

Marcie Jones has a diverse education history that includes a range of fields of study. In 1998, they attended Medicine Hat College and obtained a Computer System Technology Diploma. Moving forward, from 2000 to 2001, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), specializing in Network Management. In 2005, they took Project Management courses at Mount Royal University. Later on, in 2007, Marcie attended the University of Calgary to gain knowledge in Building Positive Relations With Difficult People. Additionally, in 2009, they returned to the University of Calgary for Strategic Planning.

Outside of their formal education, Marcie obtained certifications in the field of cloud computing. In November 2018, they received the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In March 2019, they furthered their expertise by obtaining the AWS Solution Architect Associate certification, also from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
