Ozias Dushimimana

Ozias Dushimimana has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ozias is currently working as a Microservices Developer at Accolite Digital since 2021. Previously, they worked as a Software Engineer at ENGIE Energy Access from 2020 to 2021, where they developed quality code using Ruby on Rails, fixed bugs, facilitated backend integrations, and participated in design meetings and planning sessions.

Prior to that, Ozias worked as a Software Engineer at Fenix International from 2017 to 2020. Ozias also has experience as a Software Developer at WiredIn Rwanda from 2016 to 2017, and as an Engineering Manager at MeshPower Ltd. (Rwanda) from 2015 to 2016.

Ozias has also gained experience in the finance and energy sectors. Ozias worked as a CMU Practicum at Banque Populaire Du Rwanda in 2014, where they assessed network security vulnerabilities. Additionally, they served as an Energy Research Intern at Rwanda Energy Group in 2014, where they developed planning tools and a web application for microgrid development.

To kickstart their career, Ozias interned as a Technical Support Intern at NetSys Computers, Ltd in 2011, where they gained experience in web design, hardware and software sales, graphic design, networking, and IT consultancy.

Ozias Dushimimana completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Arkansas, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, attending from 2013 to 2015.

In terms of certifications, Ozias obtained the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" certification from Microsoft in October 2022. Similarly, they received the "AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical)" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2022. Ozias also holds the "Verified International Academic Qualifications" certification from World Education Services, obtained in May 2019. Additionally, Ozias achieved the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate" certification from AWS in December 2022, and the "AWS Certified Developer – Associate" certification in May 2021.
