Wlad Franco-Valias

Wlad Franco-Valias has extensive work experience in project management and agile methodologies. Wlad currently works as an Agile Project Manager at Accolite Digital starting from 2023. Prior to this, Wlad served as the President of Tucano Consulting Inc. since 2016. Wlad held the role of Scrum Master at H&R Block from September 2019 to November 2022, and also briefly at Suncor Energy from February 2019 to July 2019. In 2018, Wlad worked as a Senior Project Manager at WestJet. Wlad previously held the position of Agile Project Manager at FortisAlberta from June 2016 to November 2017, at Pason Systems from February 2013 to March 2016, and as a Senior Project Manager at Shaw Communications from March 2010 to January 2013. Wlad's earliest recorded role was as a Project Manager at Paysafe Group from September 2005 to March 2010, where they applied Agile principles in delivering SOA components and implementing various payment options. Wlad began their career as a Project Manager at Critical Mass from May 2001 to September 2005.

Wlad Franco-Valias completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the University of Calgary between the years 1981 and 1987. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Certified Scrum Master in June 2006. Moreover, they obtained a Project Management Certificate from Mount Royal University Continuing Education in April 2005. Continuing their professional development, Wlad obtained the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2017. Most recently, in March 2022, they became a Certified LeSS Practitioner through The LeSS Company.
