Andrés Cifuentes

Andrés Cifuentes has over 20 years of work experience. In 1997, they began their career as a Database Administrator (DBA) and Support Engineer at the Universidad de los Andes. From 2001 to 2008, they worked as a Cofounder and Project Manager at Eforcers S.A. During this time, they also served as the Accelerator Program Director and IT Director. In 2011, they became Cofounder and CTO at Thoughts Network S.A.S. From 2017 to 2021, they were Cofounder and Managing Partner, as well as Business Accelerator Director at EF Venture Capital. Since 2021, they have been Cofounder and COO and Cofounder and BU Head at Xertica. In 2022, they were appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors of APD Colombia.

Andrés Cifuentes has an educational background in Systems Engineering and Software Engineering. From 1990 to 1996, they attended Universidad de Los Andes, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering. In 2003 and 2004, they returned to Universidad de Los Andes to complete a Specialist in Software Engineering degree. In 2017 and 2018, they attended INALDE Business School, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. Additionally, they hold a Google apps sales specialist certification from Google.
