Jennifer Witten's work experience begins in 1995 as an Emergency Medical Technician for Presbyterian Albuquerque Ambulance Service. Jennifer then worked as a Nurse Associate in the Radiation Oncology Department at the University of New Mexico Cancer Research and Treatment Center. In 2003, they became a Program Manager for the YWCA Middle Rio Grande, where they facilitated the development of tobacco prevention initiatives.

From 2004 to 2010, Jennifer owned and operated Witten Consulting, LLC, where they provided project management, research, marketing, and customer relationship management services for various clients.

In 2007, they joined the American Heart Association as a Senior Government Relations Director, where they led advocacy activities and developed grassroots strategies. Jennifer also served as the State Health Alliance and Executive Director for the organization.

In 2011, Jennifer worked as a Federal Government Relations Manager for the American Heart and Stroke Association, focusing on public health relationships and advocacy activities.

From 2014 to 2015, Jennifer was a Senior Vice President at Strategies 360, providing consulting and operational management services in the New Mexico market.

In 2015, they joined the Maryland Hospital Association as the Director of Governmental Policy & Advocacy. Jennifer later became the Vice President of Government Affairs and Policy, leading efforts to represent Maryland's hospitals before legislative and regulatory bodies. Their tenure at the Maryland Hospital Association ended in 2021.

Currently, Jennifer works as the Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Policy at XFERALL, a position they started in November 2021.

Jennifer Witten has a strong background in both business and healthcare management. Jennifer began their education at The University of New Mexico, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business. Following this, they attended National American University from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business and Healthcare management. Jennifer then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Santa Fe University of Art and Design, specializing in Business Management and Healthcare Management, completing their studies in 2006. Additionally, they became a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow from 2009 to 2012, achieving a Certification in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the Active Center for Creative Leadership Alumna. Through their diverse educational experiences, Jennifer Witten has gained a well-rounded foundation in business and healthcare management.
