Luis Soares

Luis Soares has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology and engineering field. Luis began their career as a Developer at Delikatessen in 2011 before transitioning to a Junior Developer role at TEAMSOFT Assessoria Informatica. In 2013, Luis joined Easypay - Instituição de Pagamento as a Developer and later became the Head of the Technical Department.

In 2014, they moved on to Uniplaces where they held various roles including Software Engineer, Tech Lead, and eventually Engineering Manager. In this position, Luis oversaw multiple squads and ensured the timely delivery of high-quality features aligned with the company's goals.

In 2018, Luis joined Feedzai as an Engineering Manager before transitioning to Undandy in 2019 to serve as the Chief Technology Officer. During their time at Undandy, they modernized the company's technology stack, built high-performance teams, and collaborated closely with the marketing team to leverage technology for user base expansion.

Finally, in 2019, Luis became the Head of Engineering at Xgeeks, where they successfully scaled the engineering team, implemented career frameworks and performance reviews, and managed the challenges of remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Luis Soares pursued their education starting in 2010 at Citeforma, where they studied computer programming. Luis completed this program in 2011. Following this, they enrolled at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa in 2012 to pursue an Engineer's degree in Computer Engineering. As of now, it is unclear when Luis Soares completed or is expected to complete this program.
