Catherine Liles has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Catherine currently holds the position of Chief Administrative Officer and Treasurer at XGen Pharmaceuticals DJB, a role they began in January 2020. Prior to this, they held the same position at X-GEN Pharmaceuticals Inc. from August 2016 to December 2019. Catherine was also the Corporate Treasurer at the same company from June 2003 to July 2016.
Before joining X-GEN Pharmaceuticals, Catherine worked as an Office Manager at Pharma-Tek, Inc. from September 1987 to May 2003. Prior to that, they were in the Personnel Department at Tyson Foods from June 1985 to August 1987. Catherine also had a brief stint as the Co-Owner of Kathy's Restaurant from August 1984 to August 1987. Overall, Catherine Liles has gained extensive experience in administrative and managerial roles within the pharmaceutical and food industries.
Catherine Liles started their education at the Academy of St. Joseph in Brentwood, NY, where they obtained a Diploma in General Studies from 1976 to 1980. Catherine then continued their studies at the University of the Ozarks from 1980 to 1982, focusing on Business Administration and Management.

Approaching the end of a 20 year career at a major pharmaceutical company, Dan Badia made a discovery. Where larger companies found obsolescence in small markets or low-profit yielding drugs, Dan saw reliable solutions proven to be effective and affordable alternatives for healthcare. With his wife, Shirley Harmening, Dan founded a company in 1973 on a bridge table in his bedroom. In just 14 years, this company would outgrow its birthplace and find a home in lower upstate New York. That growth would be sustained by introducing injectables into an established product line, mainly consisting of anti-infective, compounding powders. In 2003, that company would become X-GEN Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Affirming Dan’s original vision while embracing a dynamic industry, family-owned X-GEN Pharmaceuticals, Inc. remained a leader in generic, anti-infective pharmaceuticals. In this our 50th year in affiliation, we honor this heritage by carrying our founder’s initials in our new name, XGen Pharmaceuticals DJB. With reverence for the past and a passion for the future, we expect big results, driven by bold solutions and delivered by real people.
