Nicholas Bauer

Nicholas Bauer is a Senior Scientist in Computational Biology at XGenomes Corp since January 2022, focusing on the application of Julia programming and single molecule localization microscopy to enhance genomics technology. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and a Postdoctoral Fellow at both Harvard Medical School and Harvard University, where research involved evolutionary experiments and bioinformatic analyses. Nicholas has also contributed to education as a Tutor and Teaching Assistant at Emory University, and gained practical laboratory experience through internships at Wyeth Research. Nicholas holds a Ph.D. in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Emory University, a Certificate in Software Engineering from Harvard Extension School, and a B.S. in Biological Chemistry from Bates College.
