Long Chen

Long Chen currently serves as Senior Director of Research at Xiaomi Technology, focusing on integrating AI into the physical realm through leadership in Embodied Intelligence research. Previously, Long Chen held roles at Wayve as Staff Scientist and Senior Applied Scientist, contributing to vision-language-action models and the development of self-driving car technologies. Prior experience includes positions at Lyft, Blue Vision Labs, Bournemouth University as a Doctoral Researcher, Toshiba America Medical Systems, and GE HealthCare. Long Chen holds a Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from Bournemouth University, a Master’s in Medical Image Computing from UCL, and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology.
