Joshua Herr has held a variety of roles in the technology field since 2010. Joshua began their career as a Floor Associate at Kohl's Department Stores, followed by a Host position at Denny's Restaurant. In 2011, they worked as a Lab Assistant at the University of Wyoming, where they maintained private networks, imaged computers, and updated and maintained the college's website. In 2013, they held a Software Engineering Intern position at EchoStar Corporation, where they updated, maintained, and wrote code to support Echostar services. Joshua then worked as a Software Developer at NowTalk Inc., where they modified existing code and wrote additional code for new features. In 2014, they became a Software Engineer at MiTek Industries Inc., where they updated and maintained existing systems in large scale application development. In 2016, they worked as a Full Stack Developer at Randstad Technologies US, contracted to work for Autodesk Inc. In 2017, they became a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, where they maintained, enhanced, optimized, and created scalable back-end Java services. In 2019, they worked as a Data Scientist at Alteryx, where they managed backend infrastructure, architected and designed cloud engineering solutions, built data science workflows, and more. Most recently, in 2021, they began a role as a Senior Engineer at Xiid Corp., where they are helping to create a new architecture for preventative, secure identity and data access management.

Joshua Herr obtained their High School Diploma from Central High School in 2010. Joshua then attended the University of Wyoming and received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2014.
