Mackenzie Harrington

Mackenzie Harrington is a Senior Laboratory Technologist at xilis. Mackenzie previously worked as an Assistant Manager at Integrated DNA Technologies from June 2018 to December 2021.

Mackenzie participated in launching of a new site by validating equipment, drafting, and editing SOPs, hiring and training a new team. Mackenzie also built trackers for and tracked bridging orders and special orders. In addition, Mackenzie assisted with customer complaint investigations and set up and maintain daily management board.

As an Assistant Manager, Mackenzie supervised and directed staff including employee hiring, training, evaluations, and discipline. Mackenzie also aided in the creation and maintenance of the staffing schedule for the department. Mackenzie assisted in and reviewed the development of new procedures and processes including successfully launching Large Scale Oligo Processing. In addition, they assisted in the tracking of special customer orders often under timeline restrictions. Mackenzie also maintained and approved timecards and PTO requests, wrote, and administered performance reviews. Mackenzie organized and prioritize workflow within the group and communicated with staff to ensure that all products are completed according to customer requirements and sent.

Mackenzie has excellent communication skills and is able to communicate departmental needs to supervisor regarding quality, speed or cost potential improvements. Mackenzie also collaborates well with other critical operational departments or groups to ensure product completion according to customer specifications. Mackenzie is also proficient in documenting any process deviations or non-conformances appropriately. In addition, they are able to troubleshoot instrument problems and submit/track work orders when necessary.

Mackenzie Harrington has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Boston University.

They are on a team with Daniel Yetsko - Senior Laboratory Technologist, Matt Pahl - Laboratory Technologist, and Nathan Seeburger - Senior Laboratory Technologist. Mackenzie Harrington reports to Corey Evans, Senior Manager, Laboratory Operations.
