Bob Gaines

Bob Gaines is an experienced MEP Project Manager currently at XL Construction since January 2020, previously serving as an MEP Coordinator. With a distinguished 30-year career in the US Navy, Bob served as the NAVSEA/SURGEMAIN Senior Enlisted Advisor at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard until August 2023, and held various leadership roles within NAVSEA/SURGEMAIN from 2012 to 2018. Prior to XL Construction, Bob held the position of Project MEP Superintendent at McCarthy Building Companies from April 2018 to January 2020 and served as Project Executive and Lead Fire Sprinkler Engineer at Cosco Fire Protection, overseeing major projects such as the Laguna Honda Hospital Replacement and Apple Campus 2. Earlier experience includes serving as Fire Protection Division Manager at Mike Murray Plumbing & Fire Protection from 1999 to 2006. Bob earned an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shasta College and graduated from Chester High School.
