Jacob Larson

Jacob Larson has held various positions in the engineering and product development fields since 2015. Jacob began their career as a Student Administrative Assistant and Student Researcher at Valparaiso University from 2015-2018. During this time, they used a VICON motion capture system and Delsys EMG system to create a metric for injury prevention with collegiate athletes, and utilized the MOTUSthrow sensor to study a collegiate baseball team in a provisional study to determine factors that could lead to risk of injury in baseball pitchers. In 2016, they were an Engineering Intern at American Greetings. In 2017, they were a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Sargent and Greenleaf, where they managed projects throughout the summer to generate over $500,000 in annual savings. From 2018-2019, they were a Presidential Graduate Research Fellow at Auburn University, and then Vice President Of Product at XO Armor Technologies LLC.

Jacob Larson attended Valparaiso University from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jacob then attended Auburn University from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
