Baltazar Villegas

Baltazar Villegas has worked as a web and software developer since 2001. Baltazar began as a freelance Flash Developer and then worked as a Lead Multimedia Developer for Sudler & Hennessey (WPP Group) from 2007 to 2010. Baltazar then moved to Technical Group Supervisor roles at Link9 and CDM New York from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, they became a Freelance Web Developer for Heartbeat, and then a Tech Manager for the same company in 2019. Baltazar also worked as a Freelance Web Developer for The LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York (LeGaL) from 2019 to 2021, developing the association's members dashboard and a system for the walk-in legal clinic intakes and consultations. Currently, they are a Senior Software Developer at Xogene Services LLC.

Baltazar Villegas has a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Rice University, which they obtained between 1989 and 1994. In 2011, they completed a Systems Analysis and Design course at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. In 2013, they obtained a User Experience (UX) Design Intensive certificate from the same institution. In 2018, they received a Certification in Full Stack JavaScript from Fullstack Academy. Additionally, they have obtained a Management 101 Certificate of Achievement from Dale Carnegie Training in 2010, a Level 3 of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test from the Association of International Education, Japan and The Japan Foundation in 1997, and a Certificate in User Experience (UX) Design from New York University.
