Jeff Lewis

Jeff Lewis has over 11 years of work experience. In 2020, they began working as a Senior Mobile Engineer at XOi Technologies, where they build and maintains an offline-first distributed system React Native mobile application focused in media capture and upload, migrated and refactored mobile application navigation structure and implementation, and converted core mobile React Native application from Flow to Typescript. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Principal Software Developer at Cohub, where they built business management software for inventory based companies as a full-stack developer, transitioned a Rails 4 API with Angular client app to a Rails 5 web app to a Rails 5 GraphQL API with several React and React Native clients, and created a fully featured web app with capabilities including Ecommerce storefronts with a theme editor, sale, return, purchase, and RMA processing, invoicing with terms, penalties, and discounts, and tiered pricing for customers, groups, and items. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as an Independent iOS Developer, developing iOS apps for consumers and clients. From 2014 to 2020, they worked at Cisco and MaintenanceNet as a Software Engineer, building web apps for international service and contract renewal and quoting software. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at the Naval Warfare Center Crane as a Mechanical Engineer. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at USACE as a Mechanical Engineer, overseeing all mechanical and plumbing construction for USACE at Ft. Stewart, GA. Finally, from 2009 to 2008, they worked at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and KRS - Kwajalein Range Services, LLC as a Mechanical Engineer Intern, providing assistance to the reliability and maintainability (R&M) and rotors, systems, and vibrations groups, learning R&M analysis and conducting a feasibility study for changing grease applications on V-22 aircraft, and applying vibration monitoring equipment to CH-53E aircraft and analyzing results for inclusion in ongoing study.

Jeff Lewis has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, which they obtained between 2008 and 2010. Prior to this, they completed a 2+2 program with NCSU at Craven Community College between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Code School, including JavaScript Road Trip Part 2, JavaScript Road Trip Part 3, Real-time Web with Node.js, Ruby Bits, and Try Ruby.
