John Hilfiker

John Hilfiker has a diverse work experience in the energy and finance sectors. Starting from 2011, they worked as a BP Field Technician at NANA Management Services. In 2012, they transitioned to UBS as a Wealth Management Associate. From 2013 to 2017, John served various roles at Bentek Energy, including Data Analyst and Energy Analyst. John then joined S&P Global Platts in 2017 as a Senior Energy Analyst, specializing in global natural gas and electricity commodity markets. In 2021, they became a Senior Product Manager at S&P Global Platts, overseeing projects related to backend to frontend technology solutions, database migration, and B2B data delivery. Presently, since 2023, John works at Xpansiv as the Director of Platform Product & Strategy, responsible for managing their data business related to environmental commodity exchange data and developing data pipelines and APIs. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in data analysis, project management, and providing data-driven insights to clients and conference attendees.

John Hilfiker obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Investment & Corporate and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colorado State University between 2010 and 2014. In addition, they have acquired several certifications, including PMC Levels I, II, III, and IV from Pragmatic Institute, Pragmatic Certified Product Manager from Pragmatic Institute, Competent Communicator from Toastmasters International, Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals from Databricks, and Bloomberg Terminal Certification.
