Hany EL Kaffas has worked in various roles in the finance and accounting industry since 2004. Hany began their career as a Junior Accountant at EgySwiss Holding, where they were responsible for preparing journal entries, general ledger operations, assisting with year-end closings, monthly closings, and preparation of monthly financial statements, administering accounts receivable and accounts payable, tax computations and returns, and assisting in preparing budgets and forecasts. Hany also served as an Export and Import Supervisor, where they were responsible for documenting shipments to ensure that they were following customs rules and regulations, consulting with customers agents to ease passage of shipments through customs, preparing goods for shipment, using the best and most economical packaging, transportation, and warehousing, and delivering goods.

In 2009, they moved to CAN for Manufacturing and Filling Cans as a Senior Accountant, where they were responsible for preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information, comparing this information with the budget to determine deviation and find methods of treatment, balancing the general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries, and preparing special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting information and trends.

In 2015, they joined KarmSolar as a Senior Accountant, where they were responsible for performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports. Hany also coordinated and completed annual audits and acted as the main interface with the financial auditors, and maintained and balanced subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.

In 2018, they joined Falak Startups as Chief Accountant, where they were responsible for supervising the day-to-day finance and accounts operations, helping Falak’s portfolio companies on multiple topics, including but not limited to, company establishment, shareholder’s agreement, in addition to consultations on accounting and taxation topics, and maintaining accurate and up to date and records of all financial transactions.

In 2019, they moved to Egypt Ventures as Chief Accountant, where they were responsible for full responsibility for managing, developing, and monitoring all accounting transactions for the holding company and its subsidiary, posting all relevant journal entries, vouchers, transactions, and corrections on ERP System, and supporting bookkeeping and sending required reports weekly to the CEO.

In 2020, they joined XPay as Chief Accountant.

In 2021, they moved to dfin Holding as Chief Accountant, where they are responsible for owning all Finance functions, from Budgeting, Reporting, Treasury, Tax, and Risk to Finance Operations (AR, AP, GL, etc.), and planning, developing, and directing financial policies and practices of The Group. Hany also joined Endeavor Egypt as Senior Finance Advisor.

Hany EL Kaffas completed a Diploma In Accounting & Finance from Ain Shams University between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Sc. of Commerce in Accounting from Cairo University between 2004 and 2009.
