Marcelo Mesquita has a diverse range of work experience in the finance and investment industry. Marcelo started their career as an Equity Analyst at Banco Garantia in 1991 and then moved on to UBS Pactual, where they served as the Head of Brazilian Equities for ten years. In 2008, Marcelo co-founded Leblon Equities, an asset management firm focused on Brazilian equities, and served as a Founding Partner and Portfolio Manager. In 2013, they became a Board Member of Priner Serviços Industriais, a leading player in access, painting, surface treatment, insulation, and maintenance for industrial plants.

In addition to their work in finance, Marcelo has also held various board member positions. Marcelo served as a Board Member of BR Home Centers, a building materials retailer, from 2009 to 2019. Marcelo also served as a Board Member of Tamboro, an EdTech firm specializing in distance learning courses, and arara.io, a technology company. Marcelo's board memberships include Klabin, a paper and packaging company, and Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, where they served on the Endowment Fund Board.

More recently, Marcelo became a Board Member elected by Minority Investors at Petrobras, one of the world's largest integrated oil and gas companies. Overall, Marcelo Mesquita has extensive experience in investment management, equity analysis, and corporate governance across various sectors.

From 2011 to 2013, Marcelo attended Harvard Business School and earned a degree in OPM (Owner/President Management Program, 43). Marcelo'sfield of study was Business Management.

Between 1988 and 1991, they attended Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

In the years 1984 to 1987, Marcelo studied at UFR Arts, Lettres et Langues - Nancy (Université de Lorraine) where they earned a Bachelor's degree in French Studies.

In 2018, they attended Singularity University for a short period to complete an Executive Program focused on Exponential Technologies.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Marcelo Mesquita also obtained the CPA-20 certification from ANBIMA in November 2016.
