Hunter Johnson has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Hunter began their career as an Executive Producer at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2015. Hunter then worked as a Senior Producer at FOX Sports for a few months in 2015 before becoming a Producer at Discovery Channel later that year. In 2016, Hunter became the Chief Executive Officer of Xpedition, a marketing agency and entertainment studio where they worked with notable clients such as Adidas, Google, and YouTube. Hunter held this role until the present day. Additionally, Hunter is a member of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce and Los Angeles LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, and they serve as a Writer and Contributor for Forbes Agency Council, focusing on brand storytelling and diversity and inclusion. Hunter is also a member of the San Diego Equality Business Association and a voting member of the Producers Guild of America. In 2021, Hunter became the Executive Producer and Creator at Discovery Inc, and they held this role until July 2022.

Hunter Johnson attended Chapman University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a BFA in Film and Television Production/Producing. Additionally, they have a certification in 3D Sterographic Film & Television from Sony Pictures Entertainment.
