Charles Zhang

Charles Zhang currently serves as the Vice President of Corporate Finance and Investments at XPENG Motors, a position held since June 2018. In this role, Charles is responsible for leading capital markets, corporate finance, strategic partnerships, investor relations, and strategic investments, achieving notable milestones such as a 2024 technical collaboration with Volkswagen and a $700 million strategic investment from the company in 2023. Prior to XPENG, Charles held the position of Executive Director at J.P. Morgan from June 2011 to March 2018 and worked as an Associate at Deutsche Bank from August 2008 to May 2011. Charles holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School, completed between 2006 and 2008.
