Tao He

Tao Tao is currently the Co-Founder, Director & SVP at XPENG Motors. Prior to this, they were with drive.ai from April 2015 to February 2019 where they served as the Co-founder, Director of Research and Engineering. Under their leadership, the company won several awards including LinkedIn Top Startups to Work At 2018, World Economics Forum Tech Pioneer Award 2018, and CB Insights' AI 100 Companies 2016, 2017, 2018. SVIEF STAR Top 30 Companies 2017.

Tao has been instrumental in the success of XPENG Motors and has played a pivotal role in the development and integration of multiple systems for the company's first self-driving car. Tao's expertise in planning and control modules have helped the company secure series B funding in 2016.

Tao's team-building skills are exemplary and they have successfully built a 10+ person Planning and Controls team from scratch. Tao is also one of the company's external spokespersons.

Tao Tao has a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National University of Singapore and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Stanford University. Tao is currently working on their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at Stanford University, but has not yet completed their degree.
