Alex Hertel

Alex Hertel is the CEO and co-Founder of Xperiel. Alex has also served as a Founding Governing Board Member of Open AR Cloud, and as a Computer Scientist & Inventor at Google. Prior to that, they were the Co-Founder & CEO of Zetawire / Walleto, which was acquired by Google in 2010.

Hertel has been instrumental in the development and launch of numerous innovative products and technologies. Alex has a proven track record in identifying market opportunities, conducting technological research & development, securing IP by patenting new inventions, and formulating and executing go-to-market strategies.

Hertel is a dynamic and effective leader, with experience in managing and motivating teams of engineers, designers, and product managers. Alex is also an expert in product requirements documentation, product testing, and product launch processes.

Alex Hertel has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Victoria. Alex also has High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from Glenlyon-Norfolk School.
