Marcial Velez

Marcial Velez has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Marcial started their career as a Systems Administrator at the School of Visual Arts in 1994 and worked there until 1997. Following that, they joined Novaworks as a Certified Apple Systems Engineer from 1997 to 1999. Afterwards, Marcial worked as an Independent IT Consultant from 1999 to 2001. In 2001, they became the President-CEO of Xperteks Computer Consultancy, Inc. where they were responsible for the vision and strategy of pioneering managed technology services for small to mid-sized businesses. During their tenure at Xperteks, Marcial successfully assembled a team of expert technicians and created a back-end management infrastructure to effectively implement, manage, and secure clients' business technology for companies with 20 to 1000 employees.

Marcial Velez obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from Queens College, which they attended from 1991 to 1993. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained two certifications. One is the "CyberReadyMBE® Certificate of Completion" from Industry Workforce Solutions, Inc., which they received in April 2023. The other is the "CyberReadyMBE® Designation" from the same institution, obtained in May 2023.
