Donald Kamens

Dr. Kamens practiced emergency medicine full time for over 30 years. He has extensive experience in emergency department administration, risk management and quality assurance. He has been active in the development of software for the practice of emergency medicine, and the recipient of several awards from the American College of Emergency Physicians, including in 2005 the Lifetime Achievement Award in Informatics, and in 2007 the Presidential Commendation for Outstanding Contribution to the Field of Emergency Medical Informatics and Emergency Medical Care. Dr. Kamens received his M.D. degree from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and holds an active Florida medical license.
