Kavya Pearlman is an experienced professional in the field of cybersecurity and technology. Kavya is the Founder and CEO of XR Safety Initiative (XRSI), a non-profit effort that focuses on promoting privacy, security, and ethics in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality (VR/AR/MR).

Kavya is also involved with various organizations and initiatives related to digital safety and technology standards. Kavya serves as an i-MEG Expert at INTERPOL, where they contribute to ensuring secure-by-design Metaverse for a safer world. Additionally, they are a Member of the Global Coalition for Digital Safety at the World Economic Forum, working on collaborations to combat harmful online content and conduct.

Kavya is a Co-Chair of the Privacy, Cybersecurity & Identity Exploratory Group at the Metaverse Standards Forum, where they work on reinforcing privacy and security measures in the evolving Metaverse landscape. Kavya is also a Founding Board Member of the Metaverse Reality Check (The MRC) and a Founding Member of the Cyber XR Coalition, representing XRSI.

Furthermore, Kavya has founded the Medical XR Advisory Council under XRSI, collaborating with healthcare experts to improve the safety of the medical XR ecosystem. Kavya has also established the Child Safety Initiative, which aims to build safe and inclusive experiences for children using Extended Reality (XR).

In addition to their role in these organizations, Kavya has served as the Captain and Inventor of Singularity Watch Timeline at ReadyHackerOne and as a Member of the Board of Advisors at EM360. Kavya brings their subject matter expertise and leadership skills to drive advancements in cybersecurity and digital safety in the industry.

Kavya Pearlman completed their Bachelor of Computer Application degree in Computer Programming from G.V.M. Institute of Technology and Management in the years 1998 to 2001. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Computer, Information and Network Security at DePaul University from 2012 to 2015. In terms of additional certifications, Kavya obtained the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA in September 2017 and the Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) certification from the PCI Security Standards Council in April 2018.
