Alyssa Martin

Director, Immunology at Xsphera Biosciences

Alyssa Martin is currently the Director of Immunology at Xsphera Biosciences. Alyssa received their Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2012 and went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in 2017. During their fellowship, Alyssa demonstrated a role for tissue reservoirs for HIV by measurement and phylogenetic characterization of HIV in primary T cells isolated from blood and lymph nodes. In their current role at Xsphera Biosciences, Alyssa is responsible for leading the company’s immunology research efforts.

Alyssa Martin pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Emory University. After completing their undergraduate studies, they went on to The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences.
