Jennifer also provides innovation consulting through Sandbox Advisors and focuses on accelerating clinical innovation at Sandbox Clinical Ventures.

In addition, Dr. Carter holds the position of Managing Director at The Blue Venture Fund, a collaboration among Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) companies, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), and Sandbox. The Blue Venture Fund invests in promising emerging companies that are strategically relevant to BCBS companies and provides access to BCBS companies for innovation deployment at scale.

Jennifer completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University. Jennifer then pursued their medical education at Harvard Medical School, earning their MD. Jennifer further expanded their expertise in healthcare by obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Health Policy and Management at the Harvard T.H.
