Po-Han Yen

Po-Han Yen began their career in 2023 as a Data Analyst at XSUNT Corporation. In 2022, they joined Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) as a Data Scientist - Capstone, where they utilized Python to implement SARIMAX model for time series forecasting on 10GB of airline data stored in Snowflake database to help ARC generate post-covid business strategy. Po-Han also wrangled and incorporated stringency index and oil price data with market segmentations, which increased forecasting accuracy by 30%. Po-Han Yen also presented the results to the managing director of data science and research. In the same year, they joined the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business as a Graduate Teaching Assistant - Data Models and Decisions, where they enhanced student learning by assisting 125 MSBA students in understanding the concepts of Statistics, Linear Regression, Time Series Analysis and Decision Tree. Po-Han also hosted regular office hours to help students debug and optimize their explanatory and predictive models in R. Additionally, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant - Decision Analytics, where they enhanced student learning by assisting 24 MBA students in understanding the concepts of Optimization, Simulation and Risk Analysis. Po-Han also hosted regular office hours to help students debug and optimize their Excel solver models.

Po-Han Yen completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at National Central University from 2015 to 2020. In 2021, they began their Master of Science (MS) in Business Analytics (STEM) at the University of Maryland. Po-Han also obtained four certifications in 2021, including Microsoft Excel Advanced: the Data Analysis Tools You Need from Udemy, Tableau 10 for Data Scientists from LinkedIn, Tableau Essential Training (2020.1) from LinkedIn, and 70-461, 761: Querying Microsoft SQL Server with Transact-SQL from Udemy.
