Andrew Robinson

Andrew Robinson possesses extensive experience in the field of optical transmission systems, currently serving as the Director of System Engineering at Xtera since November 2007. In this role, Andrew focuses on sub-sea telecommunications solutions, overseeing the development of both un-repeatered and repeatered systems. Prior to joining Xtera, Andrew worked at Azea Networks Limited as a Senior System Architect, where responsibilities included defining system architecture for submarine networks before Azea's acquisition by Xtera. Andrew has also held significant positions at Ceyba as the Director of Optical Systems, and at Nortel, contributing to various optical communication projects as a Senior R&D Engineer and Senior Research Engineer. Andrew began a career in research engineering at STC Technology Ltd, specializing in submarine systems. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Durham University.
