Praveen started their career in sales and resort operations roles at Le Meridien Hotels, CGH Earth, and Sterling Holiday Resorts India Ltd. Praveen Nair has a diverse educational background. Praveen started their education at Kendriya Vidyalaya, where they pursued their Pre Degree from 1981 to 1991. During this time, they studied subjects such as English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

After completing their Pre Degree, Praveen Nair attended the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Ahmedabad from 1991 to 1994. Here, they obtained a Diploma in Hotel Management with a focus on F&B Service, Production, Front Office, and Sales.

In 1994 and 1995, Praveen Nair continued their education at Osmania University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. Praveen'sstudies included subjects in Psychology, Public Administration, and Sociology.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Praveen Nair pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management and Services from Indira Gandhi National Open University from 1995 to 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Praveen Nair has also obtained additional certifications. In 2016, they completed the Executive Development Program in Talent Management from XLRI Jamshedpur. Furthermore, in 2022, they earned a Certificate of Advanced Talent Strategy from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, through Wharton Executive Education.
