Eugene McCarthy

Eugene McCarthy has extensive work experience in various roles within the financial services industry. Eugene is currently serving as the Director of Financial Services & Key Accounts at Xtremepush since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Management Consultant at 1Two1Consulting starting from January 2021.

McCarthy has a long history with Bank of Ireland, starting from July 1984. Their most recent roles at the bank include Head of Business Architecture for the Group Optimisation Programme from January 2020 to October 2020, where they were responsible for aligning business objectives with IT developments. Eugene also held the position of Head of Business Design for the Transformation Programme from May 2016 to January 2020, leading the co-design team for the new core banking system and spearheading the "Digital First" Programme.

Prior to these roles, McCarthy served as Head of Consumer Digital from June 2011 to May 2016, Innovation Architect from June 2010 to June 2011, MI Development Manager from July 2007 to May 2010, and Profitability Measurement Manager from July 1998 to July 2007. During their tenure, they achieved notable successes such as implementing a SAP BI7 & BCS system for management reporting, improving the digital literacy of staff and customers, and implementing enhanced customer journeys.

Throughout their career, McCarthy has displayed a customer-centric approach and a focus on value creation. Eugene has a strong background in business architecture, transformation programs, and digital innovation within the banking sector.

Eugene McCarthy attended Blackrock College from 1976 to 1983. Eugene then continued their education at University College Dublin from 1983 to 1986, where they studied Commerce.
