Sam Black

Sam Black has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. From 2014 to 2020, they worked as an Apprentice Camera Operator at IATSE Local 16, where they gained leadership skills and technical training in film, television, theater, and live events. In 2020, they transitioned into a role as a Full Stack Developer. In 2021, they joined SciPlay Corporation as an Associate Server Engineer, responsible for constructing and maintaining server code for a mobile casino game. Sam also resolved tickets and troubleshooted server components. From 2021 to 2023, they worked at EVERFI as an Associate Quality Engineer, focusing on automated testing and troubleshooting in the CD/CI pipeline. Currently, they hold the position of Staff QA Automation Engineer at XUP Payments, starting in 2023.

Sam Black received a Full Stack Developer Certification from Coding Dojo in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Cinema Production from San Francisco State University in the years 2006 to 2010. In 2021, Sam also obtained an additional certification in Advanced Design Patterns: Design Principles from LinkedIn.
