Zack Marston is an experienced manager and technical leader in the data engineering field, currently serving as the Manager for Xylem Data Lake at Xylem since October 2018. In this role, Marston oversees an Agile application team of 10 engineers, focusing on the development of a SAAS product that hosts IoT smart meter data for over 1,000 utility companies. Prior to this, Marston worked at Sensus as a Test Engineer, developing applications for smart product manufacturing, and at Cree, also as a Test Engineer, where Marston calibrated and maintained testing equipment. Marston’s early career includes positions as a Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, an Associate Mechanical Engineer at GreenWave Scientific, and a Cooperative Education student at McKenney's, Inc. Marston holds both a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
