Ankit Gupta

Ankit Gupta is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Currently serving as a Visiting Partner at Y Combinator since December 2024, Ankit previously held the position of Head of AI at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc., following the acquisition of Reverie Labs, where Ankit co-founded and served as CTO from December 2017 until February 2024. Ankit's early career includes roles at Vicarious AI as a researcher focused on deep learning for computer vision and robotics, and various positions at Harvard University, including Head Teaching Fellow and Machine Learning Researcher. Ankit also held software engineering roles at Palantir Technologies and Google, and conducted research at Harvard Medical School. Ankit earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude with highest honors, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Harvard University.
