Raphael Schaad

Raphael Schaad is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in design, product development, and technology. Currently serving as a Visiting Partner at Y Combinator since September 2025, Raphael previously held leadership positions at Notion, including Head of Design for Connected Apps and Head of Product for Calendar, where notable achievements included driving growth and user engagement. Raphael founded Cron, a calendar application that gained recognition as App of the Year before being acquired by Notion. Earlier career roles include software design and engineering positions at MIT Media Lab, Flipboard, Information Architects, and PostFinance. Raphael holds a Master's degree in Media Arts and Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has participated in various prestigious educational programs, including Y Combinator and Harvard Business School.
