Pierre Dessemontet

Pierre Dessemontet currently serves as Syndic and is responsible for municipal management and administration in Ville d'Yverdon-les-Bains since July 2016. Alongside this role, Pierre is a municipal councilor in charge of the Energy Department and has been active in the Vaud Grand Council since 2017, recently reelected for a second term. Additional leadership positions include serving as President of AggloY's Steering Committee and the Regional Cities Network, as well as board membership at Y-PARC, ADNV, eHnv, TRAVYS SA, and the Swiss Digital Administration. Pierre holds a PhD in Urban and Economic Geography from EPFL and a master's degree from the University of Lausanne, complemented by a scientific maturity from Gymnase du Bugnon.
