Sari Timonen

Sari Timonen is the Development Director at Y-Säätiö, where they coordinate a development team focused on social housing and homelessness solutions through a Housing First approach. Their extensive background includes roles such as Project Coordinator for a national supported housing initiative for young people and Planning Officer for the Ministry of the Environment of Finland, overseeing programs to reduce long-term homelessness. Sari also has experience in youth housing and social support services, having served as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer in various NGOs. They began their career in practical nursing, working in geriatric and hospital settings from 1988 to 1994. Currently, Sari is furthering their education at Taitotalo.
