Y-Studs A Cappella
Joshua Shapiro currently serves as President of Y-Studs A Cappella since October 2022, overseeing business and musical operations. Joshua also holds leadership roles as Vice President and Singer at the Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought at Yeshiva University, and as Division Head at Camp Moshava IO. In September 2023, Joshua commenced a Teaching Fellow position at Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School through the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration. Additionally, Joshua is the Co-President and Founder of the Yeshiva University Chapter of The Tikvah Fund, which focuses on humanities education. Previous experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant in the Tikvah Scholars Program and various editorial positions at The Commentator. Joshua has a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish/Judaic Studies from Yeshiva University, where studies are ongoing, and attended Yeshivat Orayta from August 2020 to April 2022.

Y-Studs A Cappella
We're Y-Studs A Cappella, an all-male Jewish a cappella group, originally from Yeshiva University. We started as a club in 2010, and have since grown beyond the collegiate level to the professional stage. You may have seen us in one of our many music videos, like our viral hit Evolution of Jewish Music, and our dynamic covers of Hashem Melech and La La Passover that have garnered over 6 million views across social media. Before anything else, we’re a group of college students and young professionals who love making music together. We pride ourselves on both our energy and our depth and are therefore extremely deliberate about the music we choose for our repertoire, ensuring every song has both uniquely Jewish undertones as well as a universally resonant message. We are blessed to be able to share our music with the world and influence so many in the process. Our love for singing, combined with a sincere belief in the power of song, yields our unique ability to connect with and inspire the audiences we sing for. We are fortunate to have entertained audiences across the globe, embarking on multiple European tours and singing at countless concerts, bar mitzvahs, charitable functions, and more.
