Douglas Powell

Douglas Powell is a Senior Biomechanist at YA Engineering Services, having begun this role in 2024. They previously served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee-Health Science Center College of Medicine since 2017 and held similar positions at Campbell University, Fairmont State University, and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Prior to their teaching career, Douglas worked as a Research Associate at the University of Tennessee and completed a Research Fellowship at Creighton University. Douglas holds a Ph.D. in Biomechanics/Sports Medicine from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a Master's in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Memphis, among other degrees.
