Buddhini Abayaratna

Buddhini A. has a diverse work experience. Buddhini started their career as a Software Engineer at Yaala Labs in 2023. Prior to that, they had multiple roles in the IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of UCSC. Buddhini served as the Chairperson from 2022 to 2023, Treasurer from 2021 to 2022, and Second Year Coordinator from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they also worked as a Blockchain and Cloud Intern at zynergyx Technologies and as a Research Intern at SCoRe Lab. Additionally, they held the position of Digital Media Manager at UCSC ISACA Student Group from 2021 to 2022.

From 2019 to 2023, they attended the University of Colombo School of Computing, where they pursued a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science.

In 2016 to 2017, they studied at Achievers Lanka Business School, obtaining a CIMA Cert BA degree in Accounting and Business/Management.

During 2014 to 2015, they attended the Asian Aviation Center Engineering Academy and pursued Basics in Aviation, specializing in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology.

From 2001 to 2016, they studied at Musaeus College, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.

In terms of additional certifications, in March 2022, they obtained the CCNA: Introduction to Networks certification from Cisco. In May 2021, they acquired the Blockchain Basics certification from Coursera and earned the DevNet Associate certification from Cisco. In October 2020, they obtained IEEEXtreme 14.0 certification from IEEE. Prior to their university studies, they attained the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting in January 2017, which was awarded by The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
