Chevindu Wickramathilaka

Chevindu Wickramathilaka has a well-rounded work experience, starting from their current role as a Specialist Software Engineer at Yaala Labs since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at the same company from March 2020 to April 2023.

Before joining Yaala Labs, Chevindu gained experience as a Web Developer and Content Manager at Heavenz.lk from January 2019 to April 2021. During their time there, they played a crucial role in developing their content platform for the Sri Lankan construction industry.

Chevindu also has experience in professional development and graphic design. Chevindu served as the Vice President of Professional Development at the Rotaract Club of the University of Moratuwa from July 2018 to July 2019. Prior to this, they were the Director of Professional Development and Graphic Designer, taking on responsibilities such as project supervision and designing promotional materials.

Additionally, Chevindu had the opportunity to intern at Stafford Motor Co (Pvt) Ltd as a Design Engineering Intern in July and August 2018. Chevindu also worked as a Workshop Technician at the same company from September to December 2018.

Earlier in their career, Chevindu gained experience as a Web Content Writer at TechWire.lk from an unspecified period in 2016 to 2018.

Chevindu Wickramathilaka completed their high school education at Ananda College from 2006 to 2014, majoring in Physical Sciences. Chevindu then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Honors degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Moratuwa from 2015 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Chevindu has obtained several certifications. In August 2014, they obtained the G.C.E. Advanced Level in Mathematics from the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka. In December 2011, they obtained the G. C. E. Ordinary Level from the same institution. Furthermore, Chevindu completed the "Introduction to CSS3" certification from the University of Michigan - School of Information in April 2020. Most recently, in June 2023, they obtained the "Introduction to Front-End Development" certification from Meta.
