Damsara Ranasinghe

Damsara Ranasinghe has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as a Software Engineer at Yaala Labs since May 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded GenixLabs (Pvt) Ltd in March 2020 and held the position of Co-Founder. In 2021, Damsara was an Organizer for GDG Sri Lanka and served as the Vice President of Marketing at ReidCon. They also worked as a Brand Ambassador for IEEE from January 2020 to April 2022. At the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of UCSC, Damsara held roles as Treasurer from May 2019 to November 2021, and as Design Master from February 2019 to May 2021. They also worked as a Trainee Software Engineer at CodeGen International from October 2020 to April 2021.

Damsara Ranasinghe began their education at Nalanda College Colombo in 2003 and completed their studies there in 2015. Damsara then pursued higher education at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT from 2015 to 2018, focusing on Information Technology. Damsara furthered their studies at the University of Colombo School of Computing from 2018 to 2022, earning a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Computer Science.
