Balaji V is an engineering leader with over 15 years of experience in architecting and scaling large-scale data infrastructure and distributed systems. Balaji's career includes roles at Microsoft, where they developed productivity and messaging applications, to leading engineering teams at Dgraph Labs, focusing on distributed database solutions. Currently, Balaji serves as the Head of Data Platform at Yahoo, overseeing data pipelines, lakes, and machine learning services. They have previously held positions at notable companies like Cisco, Meta, and Cruise Automation, specializing in data management and video conferencing solutions. Balaji holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from PSG College of Technology and a Master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
