Philip Su has over 25 years of experience in software engineering, currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering for the Big Data Platform at Yahoo since August 2007. Prior roles at Yahoo include Senior Software Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineer, focusing on test automation development as well as low latency data warehouse replication and cloud computing infrastructure utilizing Xen virtualization. Prior to Yahoo, Philip held the position of Senior Staff Software Engineer at Motorola from October 1999 to August 2007, where a Java automation framework for mobile devices was developed, benefiting over 1,500 internal engineers. Philip began his career as a Technical Consultant at Amdocs from January 1996 to October 1999. Educational credentials include a degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and attendance at Harker Academy.
