Maria Benavides has a diverse work experience spanning several positions and organizations. Maria began their career at Providence Toppenish Hospital in 1995, where they held various positions until 2002. Maria then moved on to Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, where they held roles such as HR Placement Coordinator and ConneX Coordinator from 2002 to 2008. Maria returned to the same organization in 2008 and took on roles such as Director of Outreach and later as Director of Outreach/New Hope Clinic. Currently, they hold the position of Program Director of Medical and Dental Mobile Units at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, starting in November 2021.
Maria Benavides completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Heritage University in the years 1994 to 1997. Following this, they pursued a Professional Certificate in Public Health Leadership from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2003 to 2004. Finally, Maria earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Program Administration from Heritage University between 2004 and 2006.
