Jaron Shipp

Jaron Shipp currently serves as the Head of Security & Privacy at Yale & August U.S., a position held since October 2021. Prior to this role, Jaron was the Head of Security & Privacy at ASSA ABLOY Group from October 2021 to June 2023. Jaron's legal career includes serving as Assistant General Counsel at Facebook, focusing on law enforcement responses, cyberlaw, and data privacy from May 2019 to December 2020. Jaron was also Senior Legal Counsel for Apple's Commercial Litigation Team from September 2017 to May 2019, managing a substantial docket of civil cases. Earlier experience includes a Deputy District Attorney role at Santa Clara County, where Jaron specialized in prosecuting sexual assault and internet crimes against children. Jaron began the legal career as an Associate at Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein and Latham & Watkins LLP and held a law clerk position with the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Jaron holds a JD from Howard University School of Law and a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
