Keith Schafer MPA, EFO is an experienced professional in emergency medical services and education. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Haven in the School of Health Sciences for Paramedicine since January 2020, Keith also works as an ALS Instructor at Yale Center for EMS since April 2018. With a long-standing career, Keith has been an Instructor for the American Heart Association with Survival Group since 1999 and holds the position of Fire Lieutenant at Wallingford (CT) Fire Department and EMS since April 1998. Prior experience includes serving as a Paramedic at American Medical Response and as a Firefighter at Cheshire (CT) Fire Department. Additionally, Keith was a High School Biology Teacher for the City of Waterbury. Educationally, Keith holds an MPA in Personnel and Labor Relations from the University of New Haven, an Executive Fire Officer degree from the National Fire Academy, and various certifications in paramedicine and education.
