Yale Undergraduate Prison Project
Joshua Ching is an engaged advocate and student with extensive experience in community organization, legislative work, and cultural initiatives. Currently serving as an intern at the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation, Ching focuses on developing a digital platform to improve the expungement application process in Hawai‘i. As an Arthur Liman Undergraduate Fellow, Ching introduced legislation aimed at ensuring mortgage servicers manage insurance proceeds responsibly. Ongoing involvement includes leadership roles with the Yale Undergraduate Prison Project and the Students of the Indigenous Peoples of Oceania, where significant events promoting Pasifika culture and justice efforts have been organized. Ching also contributes to a variety of initiatives at Yale University, including research on Native Hawaiian land struggles and advocating for comprehensive tobacco regulations in Hawai‘i.
